This architecture historian’s new book brings “ghost mansions” back to life.
Millett’s most recent book, Once There Were Castles: Lost Mansions and Estates of the Twin Cities (University of Minnesota Press), profiles 90 luxurious homes that once stood in Twin Cities area — from Summit Avenue and Dayton’s Bluff to Lowry Hill and the shores of Lake Minnetonka — grand estates that are now lost to history.
