Stephanie Lake Trunk Show

One of the worst things that can happen to a woman is, after spending hours putting together a great outfit for a party, arriving to find that the lady sitting by the bar is wearing the exact same thing. Oh, and of course--she looks better in it. We can thank department stores and mass production for those incidents. The solution? Buying one-of-a-kind pieces from people who know what they’re doing. Stephanie Lake is one of those people and she happens to be having a trunk show this week. What a coincidence.
The show is hosted by Denny Kemp at his salon in Minneapolis and will feature an array of Lake’s designs, which is inspired by her work as a curator, archivist and auctions specialist. She is only the fifth person in the world to earn a Ph.D. in decorative arts, design history and material culture (it sounds like she maybe knows what she is doing). Her jewelry is described as "intriguingly eclectic, decidedly timeless, with a classic sense of style and pronounced glamour," and is sold online or by appointment. Now, the only problem is deciding what piece—or five—to get. Oh, decisions decisions.
