In Web and Flow, a national caliber exhibition of most unusual and exceptional forms of basketry by over 50 national and international artists, the Joan Mondale gallery showcases outstanding basketry above and beyond, stretching forms into intriguing shapes more recognizable as sculpture, as well as traditional basket forms. A not-to-be missed exhibition co-sponsored by the National Basketry Organization, the exhibition runs from March 6 to April 18. The show is free and open to the public. Textile Center is a national center for fiber art whose primary constituencies are fiber artists, textile arts guilds and fiber arts enthusiasts. Its mission is to honor textile traditions and promote excellence and innovation in fiber art. Membership has grown to 800 individuals and 39 textile guilds, representing a collective membership of more than 7,000. Over 50,000 people a year are served by the Textile Center.
